Creating a Harmonious Design
When it comes to choosing a door style that matches the design of your home, Garaga offers many possibilities. The key is to maintain coherence and harmony — the goal is to make it feel like the door was envisioned by the same architect who designed your house. Here are the door models available for each home style:
- A Country Look: The Eastman garage door is the perfect blend of traditional elements and the popular carriage house style. Its elegant woodgrain finish, wrought iron hardware, and the option to add panoramic windows or arched trim on the top panel give it a vintage charm, especially favored by baby boomers.

- A Traditional Appearance: The Cambridge will win you over with its authentic architectural elements and classic look. Expertly and carefully crafted, its appearance is flawless!

- A Country Charm: The Acadia 138 and North Hatley are excellent choices for a country or rustic-style home. Both door models feature a traditional yet eye-catching design! They are available in a variety of window and color options.

- A Classic Look: The proud appearance of the Standard+ and Acadia 138 will enhance your home beautifully. These doors are a smart choice for their excellent value for money.

- A Modern Style: The California belongs to a class of its own. Made with aluminum profiles and full-glass window panels, this door offers maximum natural light, sleek design, and elegance. It’s the favorite of many homeowners with a modern architectural style.

Insulation Tailored to Your Needs
To choose the right level of insulation for your next garage door, it’s important to consider your garage’s location relative to your home and how you use it. For example, if your garage is attached to your house or if you plan to use it as a recreational space for family members or as a workshop or hobby area, we strongly recommend choosing the most insulated garage door available in the Garaga product line. It’s also worth noting that polyurethane foam plays an important role in the door’s construction. Because the polyurethane adheres to the door’s panels, it provides excellent resistance to bending, ensuring great rigidity for the door panels.
Garaga offers four levels of insulation in its range of residential doors. Here are their features:
- R-16: This insulation level is the highest performing in Garaga’s residential doors. With such a thermal resistance factor, this option is ideal for garages attached to your home, especially if there is a room above the garage (such as a bedroom). Doors with an R-16 insulation factor help keep your garage warm in winter and cool in summer. These doors are 1 ¾ inches thick, and the addition of high-pressure injected polyurethane foam ensures this excellent thermal resistance factor. Suggested models include: Eastman, Cambridge, North Hatley, Standard+, or H-Tech.

- R-12: These door models have a total thickness of 1 3⁄8 inches and are injected with polyurethane foam. This insulation level is recommended for garages attached to a house that do not necessarily have a room above the garage. The R-12 insulation will also keep your garage at a comfortable temperature, allowing you to work in your garage comfortably throughout the year. Suggested models include: Stratton 138 or Acadia 138.
- R-10: This level of performance is found in a 2-inch thick steel door insulated with an expanded white polystyrene panel, such as Garaga’s TriForce™ door. The InterStop™ weatherstripping installed between the panels prevents air infiltration, and dried pine wood end blocks provide effective thermal breaks. With a different construction, it is an economical alternative to R-12.
- Non-Insulated: There are certain uses where garage door insulation is not required. This type of door is recommended for sheds or garages that are not insulated. Also, a non-insulated garage door is suitable for homeowners who convert their carport into a Florida Room or sunroom for the summer, or who have set up an outdoor living space in their backyard. Suggested models include: UniForce or California.
